NK Leadership Workshop: Public Officials, Candidates, Advocates

Saturday, October 19, 2019
2:00pm – 4:00pm

“All public officials and candidates running for office are invited to join us on Saturday Oct, 19th, 2019 for the unprecedented No Kill Leadership Workshop to learn about No Kill solutions.

This workshop is a great source of educational information about a leading hot topic in our county and in the nation. As you may know, an animal welfare plan has recently been rolled out by one of the presidential candidates to protect animals in shelters and wilderness. The presidential candidate vows to stop unnecessary euthanasia of pets! It is a major step forward and our local officials should take advantage of this opportunity to stay in touch with their constituents and find ways to reflect their value.

In this particular workshop, our public officials and candidates will learn how to effect solutions at the local level as part of the efforts to create and sustain community-wide No Kill. Best practice of No Kill will be discussed. There will also be an in depth presentation of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of community cats given by Salise Shuttleworth, J.D., E.D. of Friends For Life in Houston. Each public official and candidate will earn a certificate of participation at the end of the seminar and there will be time to mingle with animal-loving citizens afterwards.

All citizens and advocates are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be provided and you MUST RSVP to attend. Please join us!

We believe everyone can be good stewards and help save lives of cats and dogs in our community regardless of profession, ethnicity, age and gender. “
