P.A.S.S. (Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender)
Our volunteers take emails from pet owners. We have a variety of ways we can help you help your pet, from ad placement resources to low cost medical options.
When pet owners fall into hardships due to a lost job, death in the family or health issues, we work together with pet owners to determine and implement the best solution for the families and the pets. We also offer:
- Food supply
- Advice and assistance with solving behavioral or medical issues
- Donated boarding in crisis situations
- Assistance with marketing help
- Limited assistance with re-homing pets
Keeping animals in good homes is our priority. We will help pet owners find resources so their beloved pet will not end up in local shelters and subject to be unnecessarily euthanized for no reason. Our partnership can reduce shelter intakes of dogs and cats in Fort Bend County to help reduce the euthanasia rate.
FBPA! is a nonprofit animal advocacy group, thus we do not have any programs to enroll or take in any pet. We are an organization run by volunteers with limited funding to help owners re-home their pets. Although we do everything we can to help keep animals out of the shelter, participation on your part is required during the process.
Thank you for caring enough to try and keep pets out of the shelter.
