Testify in City of Stafford City Council Meeting

December 16, 2015
7:00pm

Wednesday, 12/16/15 at 7:00 PM, the City Council of City of Stafford will review the revised animal city ordiance for the first time. Fort Bend Pets Alive! representatives will be in attendance, along with a committed group of animal advocates in our county to raise awareness of animal welfare issues in the area. Our goal is to advance the new ordinance to protect our animals and to save lives. To set the tone to be humane and animal friendly is crucial to the shelter to be built in the near future.

We are in need of speakers to express their views on compassion for all and community cats in particular. Stafford residents are preferred but not a must. We will help prepare testimony for you should you decide to speak.

We are encouraging all concerned citizens and animal lovers of Fort Bend County to attend this city counci meeting that day!! There is power in numbers and we shall not let our community concerns fall by the wayside – for our companion animals’ sake! Please join us if you can – you do not have to speak if you choose not to; your presence is worth more than words can say.

** The proposed animal ordinance is not on the agenda of the 12/16 City Council meeting yet. Information will be updated accordingly.
